Is there anything better than meeting up with other photographers in your area for brunch to toss ideas around? And a headshot session? Community over Competition is honestly the best. I love that my network is growing and I’m making some awesome, talented new friends.
The lovely Cara went all out and hosted us “AJers” at her house for brunch recently. We all brought food and it was carb central. Not mad about it. Bagels and donuts galore! We got to know each other and chit chatted for a while. Then made some plates and went around and told our stories. Cara, being a teacher during the day, gave us all markers and a little chart for us to write down all our goals, and say them out loud. So important and telling other people gives a bit more accountability.
Later we practiced some wedding detail shots around the house before heading out to a nearby farm for some head shots and farm animal photos obviously. There were alpaca there and sheep and goats! All the fluffy cuties.
It was an awesome get together and I can’t wait to do it again. Hopefully in the spring!
