I’m so thrilled to finally be able to share these costal bridal brunch styled shoot photos on the blog with you guys! I was holding them hostage for a bit in hopes of getting published to no avail. No biggie though, we’ll get em next time!
The Boston Rising Tide Society paired interested members together back in the spring to put on our own styled shoots with assigned themes. I’m not a great planner so I was fortunate to be grouped with some awesome ladies. Anna of Aulette Events, Jen of The Chatty Press and Ellysia Francovitch Photography. We were assigned “coastal” as a theme, so we decided to put together a pre-wedding bridal brunch shoot. Figured it would be a little bit different than a regular wedding styled shoot. We started off emailing, pinning and eventually a video chat.
Anna and Jen did the majority of the organizing, planning, location scouting and reaching out to possible vendors. I can’t thank them enough for doing all that they did. Everything came out so beautiful. I was able to get my cousin Elizabeth as one of the models and brought muffins for the brunch spread…lol. Anna and Jen did pretty much everything else.
Our shoot location was Ocean Park, Maine. A spot I knew pretty well already. We have family friends that have a beach house up there that we stay at from time to time. I also took my brother’s engagement photos up there a few years ago.
Elizabeth and I got there in the morning since she was getting her hair and makeup done by the crazy talented Alexandra Dale & Lena Hartford. Alexandra & Lena were talking about getting to work with celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Biel & JT. Like, what?! How cool?? We ate some snacks and hung out until Jen & Brianne of Stem & Vine arrived with gorgeous flowers and furniture! And of course, Jen’s beautiful stationery.
We headed out to the beach to start hauling all of our props out and took turns watching our stuff. I was on watch duty first and got some seriously hilarious looks from people as I sat on the beach in fancy dining room chairs all alone.
The floral tablescape was up first, Anna & Jen set it up gorgeously. Ellysia & I photographed the floral tablescape and then brought Elizabeth, Shannon, Alyssa & Robin out for some group shots. It was pretty chilly that day so we kept the girls inside as often as possible. Anna & Jen got the brunch table all put together while we photographed the girls and some side set up details.
The brunch spread was all set to go just as golden hour was approaching! It looked delicious and the girls looked fabulous cheersing and hanging out together. Soon after we did solo shots of each girl and wrapped up our crazy long day. Putting together styled shoots is exhausting work, so we obviously cracked open some champagne to end our gorgeous day. Cheers!
