I loved loved loved this Boston Wedding! I can’t even with these two. They are so cute together! Elizabeth & Brendan got married in their little backyard space at their South End apartment in Boston. Their original wedding plan was to get married in Raleigh, North Carolina. Elizabeth’s parents live there and that’s where she mostly grew up. She actually met Brendan there even though he’s from Massachusetts. They hit it off even knowing he’d eventually end up back in Massachusetts and Elizabeth came along! They have gorgeous little space and a cute little Yorkie pup named Mr. Cooper!
Brendan proposed to Elizabeth on an epic trip to Greece & France! He figured he had the perfect moment to ask her when they arrived at their Airbnb in Athens. It overlooked the Acropolis so Elizabeth immediately started taking a video of the view and the awesome space. Brendan figured, great! She’ll film the proposal! Nope. Instead he interrupted her about to pop the question and she was like “what are you doing??” And stopped recording because he was ruining her video! HA!
Before their backyard ceremony, they did a group Zoom call on their tv with the family and friends that couldn’t be there in person. Elizabeth even did a first look with her dad over Facetime. It was really sweet and he loved it. They had him on there to walk her down the aisle too! Her Maid of Honor held the phone next to Elizabeth as she walked to Brendan under the arbor of flowers. He had the biggest smile on his face.
They went right into their first dance to “I Like Me Better”…right after being pronounced Husband & Wife. They toasted and shared a cupcake together and did a few formal photos before we headed out for portraits. They wanted some photos at their place among the iconic Boston brownstones and some on the Commonwealth Mall near where they used to live. And of course in the Boston Public Gardens.
My favorite little thing they did though, was end the night with a cute little candle lit dinner just the two of them. Petit Robert Bistro, which they love is near their place and they set up a table, chairs, candles and cute lights in their yard while we were off taking portraits. They’re so close to the restaurant that a waiter was just going back and forth from the restaurant serving them dinner and dessert. Such a sweet, intimate way to end their minimony!
