Kate and Matt‘s New England Backyard Wedding wasn’t exactly what they had originally planned, but it was a great wedding regardless! They moved their wedding from December 2020 to May 2021 from Sturbridge to Natick. From a traditional venue to a backyard tent wedding! Fine by me, I love a tented wedding! They got ready at The Verve Hotel, which is such a cool spot! The second you walk in, there is a wall full of giant lava lamps!
The bridesmaids wore pretty gray dresses and there were pops of pink in the decor and the bouquets. I couldn’t get enough of Kate’s bouquet. Big pink peonies and ranunculus, my favorites! It was so funny the contrast between hanging out in the girl’s suite and popping over to the guys room. The girls were listening to calm, chill music and the guys are listening to heavy-metal, being hilarious, taking shots and being loud.
A family friend let them get married in their backyard, and the set up was lovely. A nice tent and the patio was all set with high top tables for cocktail hour and cute twinkle lights. The JP wore a custom robe with Kate & Matt’s last names embroidered on it and their wedding date! Such a unique keepsake! Kate’s dad got to walk her down the aisle to Matt to start the ceremony.
It was so exciting to get back to weddings with a real dance floor again! The DJ was awesome and everyone was having the best time. Even the kids were tearing it up, lots of handstands and knee slides. We even got the worm! Oh and of course a game of Thunderstruck.
Kate & Matt have the sweetest family and friends and I’m so glad I got to spend my first “normal” wedding of the season with them all.
