I just love Kate & Chris and I just loved their Oceanview of Nahant Wedding! It’s such a dreamy beach venue! I mean just look at these photos, you can’t even tell it was October!
These two high school sweethearts started dating their senior year and 10 years later, finally got married! Chris adorably proposed in front of the lit up Rockefeller Tree in NYC. He even had a stranger video it!
After getting ready at a hotel in Boston, we headed to Nahant so Kate & Chris could do their first look on the beach. The plan was for all the guys to get there first, which they did, along with me. But the trolley had to go all the way back to Boston to then pick the girls up, and traffic was not great. Kate called me worried we’d end up behind but I had all the guys there. So we got all the groomsmen formals done, portraits of Chris and any decor that was already set up. It all worked out perfectly, the girls arrived and Kate and Chris were so excited to see each other. They had their first look and Chris teared up!! I love an emotional groom, lol. Their love for each other was so evident.
I’m so obsessed with the ceremony spot at Oceanview of Nahant. It overlooks the ocean and has a drift wood arch. They have this epic doorway that the wedding party walks through with perfect light pouring in. It’s so dreamy. AND as a photographer, there is tons of room at the archway for me to shoot right through the arch and then just back up. The photo I took of Kate looking at her dad right as they start walking down the aisle might be my favorite from the day. Oh and the swing photos, THEY HAVE A SWING!
After family formals and more portraits on the beach, they had a super fun reception. Chris’s dad told a great Power Rangers Story, and the best man’s speech was hilarious. Honestly, all the groomsmen were hilarious. You should see some of the poses they came up with when we had all that time to kill while waiting for the girls.
It was such a fun day! The food was delicious, especially the cookies from
Feed the Cheeks, the dance floor was packed and included what seemed to be a professional dance couple that I probably took too many photos of. I’m so grateful I got to photograph Kate & Chris’s Nahant wedding and wish you both the best.
