Cape Cod Beach Engagement Session

Jenna and Nick’s Cape Cod beach engagement session was a blast! These Cape Cod natives are huge beach lovers, so it just made sense to have their photos taken at Grey’s Beach and Mayflower Beach in Dennis, MA. This fun and laid-back couple was so much fun to photograph!

Their Love Story

These two both went to college together. Jenna had a crush on him for about five years, but Nick didn’t know she existed! Before she actually met him in college but didn’t know Nick’s name. She referred to him as “baseball cap”(and still has the baseball cap emoji in his contact info on her phone.) They ended up connecting over social media after college and eventually started dating. They have now been together for 3 years and together adopted a cat named Putter.

One of the dates they went on was to Pelham House Resort to see a band play. It used to be a rundown Inn so they were shocked when they arrived and saw how beautiful it was! They both loved it and before they were even engaged they had a feeling they wanted to get married there one day.

When Nick was ready to propose he had the perfect spot in mind. Jenna used to ice skate, so Nick thoughtfully rented out the rink she skated at and invited some family and friends. He twirled her on the ice and almost fell, but knelt down on one knee to propose. Her old skating instructor was even there watching from behind the scenes and helped him plan it all!

Cape Cod Beach Engagement Session in Dennis, MA

Jenna and Nick were dressed perfectly for their Cape Cod beach engagement session. We did a few outfit changes, and each one was classy but beachy. They are super photogenic even though they warned me they’d be “awkward” beforehand! This sweet couple nailed both the romantic and playful poses.

Nick really wanted a photo with his Jeep Wrangler, so we ended up incorporating it along with a champagne spray on the hood of the jeep! Nick had to wear his Red Sox baseball cap of course! I love when couples incorporate their love story and can just be themselves during their engagement session.

I can’t wait for their wedding coming up at the Pelham House Resort this summer!
