Emma and Basilio had an incredible summer wedding at The Connors Center in Dover, MA. This venue is STUNNING with all of the gorgeous gardens, stone, and ivy-covered walls. It is such a hidden gem in the Boston area.
I have known Emma for ten years, so this wedding is full of family connections! Emma is my sister-in-law’s sister, or my brother’s sister-in-law (if that makes sense)! Emma’s sister Caitlyn was Maid of Honor so she is my sister-in-law! I was so honored to be asked to capture their day! You can read more about their love story and see their engagement photos here.
Elegant Summer Garden Vibes
Emma and her bridesmaids got ready in The Sun Parlor, which was a dream for natural light with the giant windows! When I arrived I got to work capturing all of her gorgeous details with her invitation suite and accessories. I was so obsessed with the floral design by BUDS and loved everything about them! I couldn’t get enough of the colors and the shape of Emma’s bouquet. The light pink color scheme was perfect for this summer wedding. Emma’s dress was perfectly her! It reminded me of Belle from Beauty & The Beast.
Emma and Basilio did a first look before the wedding. This gave us plenty of time to take portraits around the property before the ceremony. It ended up being one of the hottest days in mid-July, but everyone was such a good sport about it. You can’t even tell in the photos how hot it truly was because the light was so gorgeous!
A Family Affair at The Connors Center
The outdoor ceremony space is stunning at the Connors Center! The golden framed mirror signage from Wall to Wall Ink caught all of their guests’ eye as they took their seats. My nieces, Lily & Madi, were the flower girls and my brother, Allan, played the guitar for the ceremony music. Emma really wanted to include my brother in some way because she is so close with Caitlyn and Allan. He perfectly played “Landslide” as the processional for the bridal party and the Schitt’s Creek version of “Simply the Best” when Emma & her mom walked down the aisle together!
Everyone was happy to get out of the heat and head inside into the beautiful reception space! Emma’s grandmother had just passed away not too long before the wedding so Emma and Basilio made a donation to The Parkinson’s Foundation in lieu of favors in her grandmother’s name. After the Father-Daughter dance Emma surprised her mom with a Mother-Daughter dance and we were all in tears. All of their family and friends had the best time celebrating the happy couple!
