Today I am so excited to share Jackie and Cody’s engagement session at the Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport, RI! I absolutely love shooting in Newport, especially right along the ocean!
Castle Hill Lighthouse
This adorable granite lighthouse is located at the entrance to the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. The grounds are right next to the luxurious Castle Hill Inn & Resort and are open to the public. This location had everything Jackie and Cody were looking for as the backdrop for their engagement photos. The rocky cliffs, ocean views, and lighthouse were so fun to play around with.
Jackie and Cody didn’t mind climbing on the rocks for a great shot by the ocean! Jackie’s dress looked amazing in the wind as we walked around the coastline. By the end, they were being super fun and playful with each other and making up their own goofy poses and doing the Titanic.
Adorable & Playful Couple
Jackie and Cody met in eighth grade but didn’t officially start dating until after high school. Cody invited Jackie to a Bruins game on their first date and they have been together for over six years ever since then! They now live together in Cody’s childhood home with their Bernese mountain dog and Shih Tzu.
In August of 2022, Cody and Jackie had a trip planned to Mexico with a couple of friends. Cody planned to propose during the trip. It would have been totally unexpected, but Jackie found the receipt for the ring in a drawer while looking for their passports the night before they were leaving! Even though the surprise was slightly spoiled, Jackie was still thrilled to say yes!
I can’t wait for their wedding at the Lakeview Pavilion in Foxborough, MA in September 2023!
