Stephanie and Patrick had the perfect summer evening for their Wingaersheek beach engagement session. Wingaersheek in Gloucester, MA is one of my absolute favorite New England beaches with its soft white sand and crystal clear water. Stephanie’s mom’s cousin let us do their session at her beach house on the private side of the beach so we basically had the beach to ourselves!
Sunset Beach Engagement Photos
These two have known each other for many years! They met at a party nine years ago. Patrick’s friend said, “that girl Stephanie thinks you’re cute,” and he was like, “I think she’s cute too!” Stephanie was a sophomore in college at the time and that’s all it took for them to start dating! Now they have their dog Chapo together, who got to join us for a few shots!
We couldn’t have asked for a better late summer evening on the beach! We had already rescheduled once because of the weather so I was glad it worked out perfectly. It was a bit windy so naturally, Stephanie was worried about her hair, but it looked fantastic. Like many couples, they were a bit nervous at first, but after a while, they really warmed up to the camera! This is why I always recommend an engagement shoot for all my couples – you will feel much more relaxed after some practice and time to get used to being in front of the camera.
Late Summer Wingaersheek Beach Engagement
Stephanie & Patrick wanted to have two outfits in their photos. I think they absolutely nailed it with a baby blue and beachy outfit first, followed by autumn tones for the second look. Stephanie’s mom joined in with a cooler of beers and watched from the beach. She helped out with Chapo when he wasn’t a part of the shots! He was not happy about that because he just wanted to be around his mom and dad. He cried the whole time, but was such a sweetie!
I am so thrilled with how their engagement photos turned out. With the beach grass and glowy sunset – it was an absolute dream! I can’t wait to capture their wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester in June!
