Jill & Nick couldn’t have asked for a better day for their wedding at Davio’s Seaport. I absolutely love this venue because of the most incredible Boston skyline backdrop for all of the photos! Plus – it is a meaningful spot in their love story.
These two met at work and quickly became friends. They used to sneak out together to each lunch in the Seaport area. They eventually started dating, and it felt like they’d been together forever since they had already been friends for years. They luckily moved in together right before the pandemic, and Nick proposed in August of 2021 on a rainy weekend up at his parent’s place in Sebago. The whole family came for a surprise engagement party! It was perfectly fitting for them to get married in Boston and take tons of photos in the Seaport.
Black and White City-Chic Wedding
The details of this wedding were phenomenal. Jill wanted the color scheme to be modern and city-appropriate, so she stuck with classic black and white with stunning all-white florals. The bridesmaids all wore black dresses, which made Jill’s dress really pop! I love that the groomsmen all wore black ties and Nick wore a white tie.
Jill’s dad passed away when she was young, so she added a black and white photo of him to carry with her in her bouquet. Her beloved Golden Retriever, Gracie, also passed earlier in the year, so they honored her on the cocktail napkins and a charm on her bouquet as well. Jill has three brothers so it was important to her to include all three of them on her wedding day. One officiated the wedding, one walked her down the aisle, and one danced to their parent’s wedding song, “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel. Cue all the tears!
Davio’s Seaport Fall Wedding
Jill is my sister-in-law’s best friend. When my brother married my sister-in-law, I hadn’t officially started my photography business yet. However, that day Jill’s mom, Gilda, told me one day she wanted me to photograph Jill’s wedding even though Jill was single at the time! I absolutely love that it came to fruition and that they supported me right from the start!
Jill & Nick were guests at Emma & Basilio’s wedding and I knew they were awesome when they didn’t leave the dance floor all night! I am so glad I was able to capture their day for them! Be sure to check out the last photos of me with THREE of my couples!
