Morning weddings aren’t typically my jam, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to photograph Maggie & Manny’s Provincetown wedding. I met Maggie and Manny back in 2020 they were modeling together for a backyard-inspired-styled shoot.
They are the nicest women and loved the images I got of them at the styled shoot. Therefore I was thrilled to photograph them again – but this time for their real wedding!
Fall Provincetown Wedding with Old Hollywood Style
Out at the end of the Cape, the weather can be a bit unpredictable in the fall. It ended up raining pretty much all day, but everyone was still in good spirits and looked incredible! I started the day photographing Maggie as she was getting ready. There is no better way to describe the vibe of this wedding than electric glam!
Maggie selected a classic strapless dress with an elegant old Hollywood style. It looked perfect on her with her gold heels, pearl jewelry, and fur wrap. Some of my favorite candid photos from the day ended up being of Maggie walking in the rain with the help of her friends to the ceremony! While the rain was not ideal, it made for some fun memories! We joined Manny at the restaurant and she looked so elegant in her black custom suit. The large boutonniere was the perfect pop of color!
Strangers & Saints Restaurant Mirco Wedding
Strangers & Saints is one of Maggie and Manny’s favorite restaurants in Provincetown, so it was the perfect venue for their intimate wedding. The original plan was to have the ceremony in the back patio area, but the rain forced them to move the ceremony inside the restaurant. There was a little bit of an overhang outside so we were able to get most of the formal photos done outside without anyone getting too soaked. Maggie and Manny skipped the first look and saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. They were married under a beautiful floral arch surrounded by their closest family and friends.
After the ceremony, they provided upscale cocktails, incredible gold donuts, and chocolate cake for their family and friends! Manny secretly had a friend create an incredible painting of the two of them using a photo I took of them at the styled shoot! It was such a sweet surprise!
Since this was a morning wedding, we needed to leave Strangers & Saints by midafternoon so they could open up to the public. Therefore, we still had some daylight left, so we headed out to the beach in the misty rain to take some portraits. They were planning to change anyway and go out later to celebrate so they weren’t worried about getting wet anymore at that point. Those are my favorite photos from the day and I’m so glad we made them happen! Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
