Stephanie and Patrick’s wedding on the North Shore of Boston was an absolute blast! I got to know this wonderful couple during their engagement session on Wingaersheek Beach, so it was so much fun to finally be able to capture their wedding day at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester.
Coastal North Shore Wedding Venue
The Beauport Hotel is one of my favorite venues on the North Shore of Boston. Sitting right on the ocean, it is the perfect place for a summer wedding. It rained the entire time I was driving to Gloucester, however, it ended up clearing up and being a beautiful day once I arrived. I joined the girls getting ready in one of the hotel rooms. They were having a great time drinking champagne and getting dolled up. Stephanie selected a neutral color palette with lots of white and touches of champagne pink. Most people go with a blue color palette at The Beauport, so it was a nice change of pace to see the champagne-colored bridesmaid dresses. I loved capturing all her jewelry, wedding details, and her gorgeous lace robe as she was getting ready. She looked absolutely stunning!
Before the ceremony, Stephanie and Patrick did a first look on the porch of the Beauport overlooking the beach. It was so sweet! These ended up being some of my favorite photos from the day! After their first look, we left plenty of time to capture all of their portraits and wedding party photos. They had a huge wedding party and they were so much fun to photograph!
Beauport Hotel Summer Wedding
When it was time for the ceremony, Stephanie and Patrick’s family and friends gathered out on the porch. The florist, Fleur & Stitch, designed a gorgeous gold circle arch with lots of white flowers. It looked stunning with the view of the ocean in the background.
After the ceremony, we got some great beach portraits while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside. We then joined them for dinner and dancing in the ballroom. I loved that they included a specialty cocktail for their dog Chappo and the neon sign for photos!
Stephanie and Patrick had their first dance to “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. One of her bridesmaids even sang a few songs for the couple to dance to throughout the night and it was lovely! She had a great voice and it was such a special touch. Her songs included “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis and “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a blast celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. McDonald’s!
