Cape Cod Tented Wedding at a Private Home

Crysta and Ben’s Cape Cod tented wedding was incredible! They hosted their families and friends at Crysta’s family beach house along the waterfront near Sandwich, MA. Everything from the sunset to the location, the decor, the music, the food, the guests, and of course Crysta and Ben were perfect. Their families were so welcoming and one of the nicest groups I have ever met! I’m so lucky I got to be a part of their day!

Wedding Ceremony on the Beach

We started the day photographing at Crysta’s family home, which was homey and inviting. It sits right on the waterfront and was the perfect location for their summer wedding! I photographed some of the details of the day as Crysta and her wedding party finished getting ready. I loved the sage green she chose for the color scheme. The mismatched styles of bridesmaids’ dresses tied together perfectly with the white bouquets. Crysta’s dress was a classic-looking strapless dress, but it had a see-through back that looked great on her!

Crysta and Ben had just their closest family and friends join them right in the sand for their ceremony. It was very sweet and personal and Ben’s face was perfect when he saw Crysta walking down the aisle with her dad. After the ceremony, we took a lot of formal photos as the rest of the guests arrived for the reception. By the time we were done, the tide started coming in, so Ben picked Crysta and carried her over the water so her dress wouldn’t get wet. Crossfit really paid off there!

Gorgeous Cape Cod Tented Wedding Reception

I absolutely love a coastal, tented wedding! The farmhouse tables were decorated with beautiful greenery and candles. They, of course, incorporated their fur baby, Jules, in the day with doggie treat favors you could take home and a “Jules’ Mule” signature drink. They love oysters as well so they had a raw bar for their guests, so we had to get a photo of them shooting one! The BBQ food truck was also SO GOOD!

We got an incredible golden hour – just like their engagement session! The portraits of the two of them ended up being some of my favorites of the day!

There were lots of guests at the reception, but they all felt like family. They were all so fun to be around and adored Crysta and Ben. The DJ was SO FUN!! I absolutely loved the music and wanted to spend the night on the dance floor with everyone! Congratulations to Crysta and Ben!
