If you know me, you probably know my brother just ran the Boston Marathon for the first time! Woohoo!

My family of course has to be that embarrassing group routing for him, so we decided to get some T-shirts made for the occasion and surprise him! That’s where I came in of course.

I started with a photo I took of Allan crossing the finish line of the first full marathon he ran. It was a perfect profile shot of him in that epic running pose. Turned it into a vector image, and brainstormed text ideas. His girlfriend (now fiancé!!) had the idea of using lyrics from the Foo Fighters song “Times Like These.” His favorite band, one of his favorite songs, and that song in particular helped push him through that first marathon. PERFECT!

Marathon Monday was so much fun! I’ve lived in MA my whole life but I had never been to the Marathon before. We didn’t want to take any chances getting a good spot, so our group left our house at 5am! We had our spot claimed at around 6:30am with no one else around. But time flew by and we had a great time waiting for Allan to run by. So inspiring to watch everyone.
