specializing in bright and airy photography, I've had the pleasure of capturing love stories at some of the region's most stunning venues. Each offers unique charm, abundant natural light, and picturesque settings perfect for drool-worthy wedding photos. Below are some of my top venue recommendations:
As a New England Wedding Photographer
OceanCliff is a classic Newport waterfront venue with sweeping ocean views and beautiful natural light. The ceremony lawn overlooks the water, which reflects light back onto couples for soft, glowing photos. The Grand Ballroom has large windows that keep receptions bright and airy well into the evening. White trim, neutral interiors, and coastal blues photograph clean and timeless. Golden hour portraits here are especially stunning along the cliffs and manicured lawns.
OceanCliff typically books 12–18 months in advance for peak summer weekends.
Most weddings include 5 hours of reception time. Total wedding costs often range widely, but many couples spend $40,000–$80,000+ depending on guest count and season. Pricing usually includes the venue space, tables, chairs, linens, staffing, and on-site coordination. There is typically a service charge and tax added to food and beverage totals.
The venue can accommodate up to around 230 guests for a seated reception.
It offers both outdoor and indoor spaces, giving flexibility for New England weather. Catering and bar service are in-house only, and a tasting is usually included during planning. A food and beverage minimum applies and varies by date and season. Multiple bar packages are available, from classic to premium options. There are getting-ready spaces on-site, including rooms in the gatehouse and hotel. A strong indoor rain backup keeps the day bright even if the weather changes. Outside vendors are welcome for most services, and on-site and nearby accommodations make it easy for guests to stay close.
