The Best Wedding Venues in New England

specializing in bright and airy photography, I've had the pleasure of capturing love stories at some of the region's most stunning venues. Each offers unique charm, abundant natural light, and picturesque settings perfect for drool-worthy wedding photos. Below are some of my top venue recommendations:

As a New England Wedding Photographer

Rosecliff Mansion

Rosecliff Mansion is one of Newport’s most iconic wedding venues, offering timeless elegance and incredible natural light for photography. The mansion’s grand, white facade, sweeping terraces, and manicured lawns create perfect backdrops for bright and airy portraits. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the ballroom and other indoor spaces allow soft, even daylight to fill the rooms, keeping reception photos luminous and elegant. The sweeping ocean views and Golden Gate-style terraces provide stunning settings for sunset portraits, while the formal gardens, fountains, and historic architecture offer endless opportunities for photography. Every angle feels clean, refined, and full of light, making Rosecliff a dream location for couples who want romantic yet polished images.

Couples typically book 12–18 months in advance, especially for summer and early fall weekends. Most rentals include 5–6 hours of event time. Total wedding costs are in the luxury range, often $75,000–$150,000+, depending on guest count and season. Pricing generally includes venue access, staffing, tables, chairs, linens, and event coordination. Rosecliff can accommodate up to 200 guests depending on event setup. Both outdoor terraces and indoor ballroom spaces are available, providing flexibility for New England weather. Catering and bar service are in-house. There are getting-ready spaces on-site for bridal parties. Guests can stay nearby at Newport hotels and inns, making it easy for out-of-town guests to enjoy the full wedding weekend experience.

Fun fact: Ashley & Jared from The Bachelor got married here!
