The ICA

The ICA is a striking, modern waterfront venue that is incredible for bright and airy wedding photography with a clean, editorial feel. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlook Boston Harbor, flooding the space with natural light throughout the day. The minimalist architecture allows couples to be the focus, without visual distractions in the background. Sunset at the ICA is especially stunning, with soft light pouring in and the city skyline glowing behind you.

Couples typically book 12–18 months in advance, especially for popular spring through fall dates. Rentals generally include 5 hours of event time. Total wedding costs often fall in the luxury range, commonly $60,000–$120,000 and up. Pricing usually includes venue rental, security, staffing, and access to designated event spaces. Additional costs may include service charges, overtime fees, and required security or museum staffing.

The ICA can accommodate up to around 300 guests for a standing reception and fewer for seated dinners. The venue offers indoor spaces with waterfront views, as well as outdoor terrace areas when weather allows. Getting-ready spaces are limited, so most couples prep off-site nearby.
