A few weekends ago I hiked Mt.Katahdin! It’s the highest peak in Maine! I went with my dad, brother, cousin, boyfriend and his brother! So yea, only girl over here. The trip involved backpacking into Chimney Pond Campground in Baxter State Park. You pack everything in, and out, including trash. They even have bear lines to hang your food so bears don’t rummage through your stuff. We slept in lean-tos also, so I would really really like to avoid bear contact…we didn’t end up seeing one. Though the photography part of my brain wanted to see one a little bit. 🙂

Anyways, I’m glad I did it, but it was cold. Really cold. If we weren’t hiking, I was miserable and cold. But it was so beautiful there and the leaves were just starting to turn!
