I’m so excited to share photos from this awesome event I got to photograph! My friend Danielle over at A Sequined Life asked me if I was interested in photographing a fun girl’s day with some Boston Bloggers at the Godfrey Hotel. Uh yea, sounds amazing, sign me up! They were getting together in March to hang out, have fun, and most importantly, celebrate women since March is National Women’s Month (the only good thing about March in my opinion…).
We had an amazing room at the Godfrey Hotel in Boston with huge windows, making for perfect light! We drank champagne, snacked on popcorn and took super fun photos. They’re seriously #squadgoals.
Each girl is going to be posting about the importance of women supporting one another and sharing three women who have impacted their lives greatly. I’m not even sure three women is enough though, I think I could list 100. Obviously mom takes the #1 spot, but I’ve got two grandmothers, a sister, a million (give or take a few) amazing aunts, cousins that are some of my best friends, not to mention my actual best friend (shout out to BECKKYYYY!), all my other girlfriends…the list goes on. Celebrities too, all the women leading the #TimesUp Movement. OPRAH! Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence, Beyoncé and so many others. Gal Gadot as WONDER WOMAN! I hope you saw that movie.
These awesome Boston Bloggers were also kind enough to make donations to Rosie’s Place. “Rosie’s Place was founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Today, Rosie’s Place not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for 12,000 women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie’s Place relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding. Thanks to these donations, 85 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to services for poor and homeless women.”
I’m so glad I got to be a part of this shoot with these inspiring women and donate to an amazing cause. Who are three (or more!) women in your life that have greatly impacted your life?
