A Cape Cod Wedding at the Pelham House Resort

Pelham House Resort Wedding Photographer

Jenna and Nick found the ideal Cape Cod waterfront wedding venue and hotel at the Pelham House Resort in Dennis Port, MA! These two Cape natives and beach lovers wanted a venue with ocean views and coastal vibes to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. Jenna texted me nine days before their wedding day understandably freaking out that it might rain. I told her not to worry and thankfully it ended up being a beautiful summer day without a cloud in the sky!

Coastal Summer New England Wedding Decor

Jenna and Nick put so much thought into the design and details for their wedding. They selected a light coastal blue color palette and added loads of personal touches. Together they built the seating chart board and their head table backdrop with the neon sign. Jenna handmade every oyster shell seating arrangement with each guest’s name! You would never know that they DIY’d a lot of it because it was absolutely stunning!

Their signature drinks were a nod to Nick’s jeep (pictured in their engagement photos) and Jenna’s drag-racing car! How cool! They also made their own BBQ sauce as favors for their guests. Their cat, Putter, was on the cocktail napkins and engraved on Nick’s custom cufflinks.  However, Nick ended up not being able to wear them because his shirt didn’t have cufflink holes (oops!!). I just wish Putter actually got to attend the wedding! He is SO cute and I wanted to meet him so badly!

Jenna wore a classic A-Line dress that was perfectly her. She put her hair up nice and neat which was absolutely ideal for a salty beach environment in June! We took portraits around the venue with Jenna and her bridesmaids and flower girl! Their bouquets, by The Salty Florist & More, were gorgeous and added the perfect pop of color to the photos. Then we took portraits of Nick and the groomsmen. Nick was adamant that he didn’t want to do a first look. He really wanted that walk down the aisle moment so we did a brief “first touch” instead before the ceremony.

The outdoor ceremony space out on the big lawn is stunning! Nick actually turned around and faced the ocean as the processional was happening because he was already tearing up in anticipation of seeing Jenna. He turned around once she was at the end of the aisle. His reaction was one of my favorite moments of the day! No doubt that Nick loves Jenna more than anything and not doing a first look was 100% the right choice for them.

Pelham House Resort Wedding Reception

The reception space inside the Pelham House is the perfect blank slate for wedding decor. The tablescapes really came to life when the flowers were added! While their guests enjoyed cocktail hour we took couples portraits along the ocean. We then joined their family and friends for toasts, first dances, and dinner. Nick was tearing up as he danced to “Forever Now” by Michael Buble with his mom. They gave Nick’s grandparents a spotlight dance to their own wedding song which was incredibly sweet!

Once the sun went down we snuck out to get some epic portraits on the beach with the rocks. All the hotel guests at the pool were watching and cheered as Jenna & Nick did an epic dip on the rocks! Congratulations to this wonderful couple!!
